From Toulon

Not to be missed: a stroll around the harbour and the provençal market on Cours Lafayette, Les Halles Gourmandes, the shaded squares in the pedestrian area, and Rue des Arts. Also worth doing in Toulon: the guided tour "Toulon, au fil du temps" ("Toulon through time", in French only). 

Not to be missed: walks along the trails, the panoramic view from the Point Sublime, a picnic in the pine forest.

In Toulon, we love the contrasts the city offers: maritime, capital of the Var, open to nature. In a single day, you can enjoy different atmospheres in the same place.

 

From La Seyne-sur-Mer

Not to be missed: a stroll along the Tamaris cliff path, the panoramic view of the harbour, the fishermen's huts on stilts, and the views of the orientalist villas.

Not to be missed: enjoy a drink on the seafront, stroll through Fernand Braudel landscaped park, and take in the view of the Deux Frères rocks.

Not to be missed: a stroll along the harbour to the statue of Cuverville to understand the affectionate nickname given by the people of Toulon to the statue of the Genius of Navigation, the Mayol stadium, and the historic centre of Toulon. 

Not to be missed: walks along the trails, the panoramic view from Point Sublime, a picnic in the pine forest. 

 The peaceful atmosphere of the harbour, the open horizon from Mont Faron to Sablettes beach, the rich history embodied by the forts: a day trip from La Seyne-sur-Mer is a wonderful breath of fresh air.

Not to be missed: the port of Le Brusc, the lagoon and the Gaou peninsula. On the island, walks along the paths, views of the sea, beaches and coves. 

We love the ‘end of the world’ feel of Le Brusc and Île des Embiez, the colour of the rocks, the serenity of the lagoon and the Provençal atmosphere of the little port.

Not to be missed: the guided tour "Ollioules au fil du temps" ("Ollioules through time", in French only), the feudal castle, the plasterwork, the craft shops, and the Jonquier nougat workshop. 

A stroll through the narrow streets of Ollioules immerses us in Provence: the church, gardens with Mediterranean scents, porches and vaulted passageways create a timeless atmosphere.

From Hyères 

Not to be missed: the guided tour of "Hyères through time" (in French only), the Arts trail, the historic centre, the remarkable gardens, Saint-Paul's Collegiate Church and its collection of ex-votos.

Not to be missed: snorkelling from a beach on the peninsula, hiking along the coastal path, picnicking at sunset. 

Not to be missed: enjoy a drink on the museum terrace with views of the small port of Le Niel and the island of Porquerolles, visit the village of Giens and its Provençal church, the tranquillity of Square Bachaga Boualam, its pretty local craft shops, and the port of La Madrague. 

We love the mix this day offers: contemporary art, Provençal towns and villages, unspoilt nature and landscapes conducive to contemplation nourish our holiday memories.

Not to be missed: Almanarre beach, the underwater trail to the ruins of Olbia, the old salt marshes and the flamingos. 

Almanarre is one of those places you never forget. The colours of the salt marshes, their tranquillity just a few metres from the ever-changing sea, and the scents of the sea and Mediterranean plants invigorate all the senses

Not to be missed: Villa Carmignac, the beaches, the cycle paths, the Moulin du Bonheur, enjoying an ice cream in the village square before catching the boat back.

Porquerolles is a delight to visit out of season. Located in the heart of a national park, the island reveals the full variety of its natural beauty whether you're hiking, cycling or simply relaxing.

Not to be missed: the footpath around the mine, a walk in the Colle Noire massif, a drink facing the Garonne beach or in the village of Le Pradet. 

Children love going down into the mine, helmets on their heads. The panoramic views from the surrounding footpaths are among the most beautiful in Provence Méditerranée.
