Villa Noailles

Museums

Adult €6.00 Free with the pass

The Villa Noailles is a major center of artistic creation (photography, fashion, design) and an emblem of modern architectural heritage. Situated high above the city, its gardens offer exceptional views of the Mediterranean.

The tour features a collection of works of art and furniture, and a permanent exhibition dedicated to the history of the site and its patrons, covering the avant-garde from the 1920s to the 1960s (Dalì, Man Ray, Cocteau, Buñuel...).

The Villa, designed by Robert Mallet-Stevens in the 1920s at the request of patrons Charles and Marie-Laure de Noailles, is now protected as a Monument Historique, and has been awarded the "Patrimoine du XXe siècle", "Maison des Illustres" and "Iconic Houses" labels; its gardens have been awarded the "Jardins remarquables" label.

You'll love :
- Visit one of France's first avant-garde villas
- Strolling through its Mediterranean gardens overlooking the old town of Hyères and the sea
- Entering a world dedicated to creation

Access conditions
  • Access by car

Two land parks are located at the top of the hill, but their number of places is limited. During major events such as the Fashion Festival or the Design Parade, free shuttles provide the connection between Place Clemenceau and Villa Noailles.

  • Access on foot

Villa Noailles overlooks the historic centre of the city of Hyères. The simplest is to access it on foot, from the city center. You go up the streets of the historic centre to the villa in about 20 minutes walk. Choose flat shoes for ease.
